Spring Parent Teacher Conferences
Wednesday, March 17th & Thursday, March 18th
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Spring Parent-Teacher conferences are being held virtually via Zoom this year on Wednesday, March 17th from 4:00PM - 8:30PM and Thursday, March 18th from 4:00PM - 7:00PM. To value everyone’s time, appointments are required for all conferences. Once you have made an appointment, an email with your schedule and Zoom link(s) will be emailed to you. Please make sure to check your spam folder to ensure you do not miss the email with Zoom information.
Parent-Teacher conferences held on Wednesday, March 17th will utilize an open format that will allow parents to select a conference with individual teachers. The nature of the open format conference is to have a brief conversation with your child’s teacher(s) in order to get an understanding of overall student performance. The individual conferences are 10 minutes in length. It is our goal to accommodate as many parents as possible therefore, if your student has a teacher for multiple periods, please only schedule one conference with that teacher.
If a team determines that there is a need for a team conference, they will establish that and contact the parents prior to the scheduling of conferences on Thursday, March 18th.
Registration for individual parent-teacher conferences on both days will be scheduled by parents online. Registering for your conferences on-line provides maximum flexibility in tailoring a schedule to meet your needs and will give instant feedback and confirmation of your appointments. Parents will schedule appointments through this web site: Meet The Teacher. For more step-by-step information regarding the registration process please click here.
The website link will become active at 9:00AM on Saturday, March 6th to start registering individuals and will remain open for the week until 11:00PM on Sunday, March 14th.
Spanish translation services will be available to assist with communication during conferences on both days. You will be able to select having a Spanish translator provided during the registration process.
If you have any questions about registering for a conference with your child’s teacher(s), you may contact our Registrar, Debbie Owen, via email at DOwen@barrington220.org.
Respectfully,
James Aalfs
