Christmas Gifts 2015

Thank you to Newell for an Early Christmas Gift!

Before Christmas Break, Sandy Meyers (mom of Nathan Meyers, Aquin sophomore) stopped in with 2 large boxes of art supplies donated by Newell. The boxes were filled with Sharpies of all colors, colored pencils, regular pencils and pens, highlighters, erasers, and so much more. We estimate the retail value of the donation to be around $1000.

The donation was divided between both campuses to be used to help the students express their artistic flair in the most colorful of ways.

Thank you to Newell and all involved in this awesome gift!

Thank you to Santa's Elves!

Can you SEE the difference?

You will definitely HEAR the difference!

Over Christmas break, Santa's elves were in the Aquin Fitness Center and Gymnasium upgrading the sound system and are now installing a new video system. The sound system replaces what was currently in place with improved sound and technology features. The all new video system will allow concession workers and guests to enjoy the games in the gym and on the football field--while they are in the cafeteria and concessions area!

Many, many thanks to the many 'elves' who donated time, equipment and money:

  • the Aquin Open
  • the Aquin Boosters
  • Adam Talbert
  • Tom Brunner
  • Loescher's--Jesse Arndt
  • Morse Electric--Jay Cummins
  • Advanced Technologies, Inc.
  • Aquin Maintenance--Roger Grenoble, Butch Schoenhard, Mike Shippy
  • 3 anonymous donors

The newly installed systems will be under 'lock and key' to keep them safe and in use for years to come by many future Bulldogs.

Come see and hear the differences on Friday Night

as our Lady Dawgs host the Lady Cardinals from Forreston!

Thank YOU for voting!

The Aquin Art Department received 2nd place in the Bocker Christmas Window Painting Contest for the window pictured to the right. They received $400 as their prize. Mr. Pisula hasn't decided exactly what he'll spend that prize on, but knows that it will be a 'non-consumable' product for many Bulldog artists to use. Past purchases with the prize monies have been potter's wheels, kilns, jewelry buffers, art stools, and easels, to name a few.

Thank you for casting your votes at Bocker during December . . . and thank you to Bocker for supporting the Arts once again!
