Dr. Knowlton's Class Update

February 17-19, 2016

Good Morning Parents!

I hope that you have had a restful winter break, I have definitely enjoyed mine. This week, we have yet another short week. The only homework that I am assigning is for your students to work on their American Hero Presentation and Phonics. My hopes are that we will be able to have our presentations in the media center. There may be a possible date change to make that happen. I will confirm tomorrow.

I would like to thank the parents who chaperoned during our field trip last Wednesday to the Atlanta History Center. It was a great trip and our students learned alot! I would also like to thank our parents that hosted our Valentine Party! The students had a great time playing games, listening to stories, and cupcakes.

This week in First Grade!

We will continue with last week's skills...

Phonics: This week's phonics lessons include, Suffix-es and dipthong ou, ow. Our next spelling test will take place Friday, March 3, 2016
