Principal's Weekly Bulletin
Ross Elementary School April 25, 2021
Principal's Message
Dear Families,
It was such a joy to see so many of your children back on campus for in-person learning! Thank you for following our protocols to support the health and safety of our community.
Now that we are back in school, our current priority is ENROLLMENT for the 21.22 school year.
All currently enrolled families who plan to return to Ross must re-enroll. School budgets are based on enrollment and DCPS has enrollment benchmarks we must meet each year. Our first enrollment benchmark is May 4. On that date, we are expected to have 60% of our students enrolled. We currently have fewer than 20% enrolled. Please see below for further details and complete your child's enrollment as soon as possible.
I am grateful to our Auction Committee for planning a fun, virtual event for the whole family on Saturday, May 15. Check out the auction website and RSVP. The auction is free for all members of our community.
Wishing you continued good health. Please continue to visit coronavirus.dc.gov for the most current COVID information for DC residents.
Best Regards,
Holly
Enroll Your Child for SY21-22!
We are approaching our first enrollment benchmark on May 4 and our current re-enrollment rate is low. Please see below and re-enroll as soon as possible.
1. Read the Frequently Asked Questions.
- Proof of DC residency – see the Residency Form for a complete list of acceptable documents and verification methods
3. Complete the SY21-22 electronic submission enrollment packet.
4. If you received a sibling preference in the lottery, you MUST enroll all siblings at the same time to receive the lottery sibling preference. The deadline to enroll for lottery matches is May 3.
