Respect Life Month
October is Respect Life Month! As Catholics, we believe that every life is sacred, from the moment of conception until natural death. Every person is made in the image and likeness of God, and so each and every person has inherent dignity. This is also the foundation of all Catholic social teaching. This week we share an interview with Kansas City Archbishop Joseph F. Naumann, chairman of the USCCB’s Committee on Pro-Life Activities.
Young Adult Ministry Spotlight
Our Lady Queen of Peace | St. Thomas More
Currently, this young adult ministry is meeting via Zoom, because of the pandemic, about once a month from 7:00-8:15 p.m. Please contact Meghan by emailing or calling her. You can also come by and say hi after Mass if you are at OLQP, as she is the parish's music director. You are always welcome to share your ideas and thoughts!
40:30 Young Adult Group
The Southeast Rochester Catholic Community invites young adults to leave the noisiness of the world and gather with other young adults in faith. This new young adult group takes its inspiration from Isaiah 40:30-31. The group currently gathers Mondays at 7:30 p.m. via Zoom. For more information, click here.
Young Adult Bible Study
Individuals 18-35 are invited to a Bible study organized by the Auburn area young adult ministry. Read/discuss passages from the Bible and Church documents while enjoying fellowship with other young adults. The study is informed by Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS) Equip. Advent Made Simple
Divided. Loud. Our world is full of noise. It is sick and it is hurting. We need to find ways to proclaim the one Word, Jesus, in the midst of all of this. Advent Made Simple is a daily video series that, this year, will feature only Black Catholic speakers. The aim is to change the lack of diversity and representation in the church here in the USA while providing another way to be prayerful during this season of hopeful anticipation.
