Bryan Families,
Thank you for making fall parent teacher conferences so successful. It was wonderful to visit with parents both on zoom and back into the building. We appreciate your continued support and are grateful for the strong parent/teacher partnerships that we have here at Bryan.
We are excited to see the children in their costumes and our teachers are planning activities to enjoy in class on Friday Oct. 29th! We will provide a treat (created by our MPS Young Adult Program), a classroom snack, and a juice box. Please do not send additional class treats. We will not need volunteers for parties this year. Families are invited to join us for the parade at 3:15PM. There will be a marked parade path outside starting in the back parking lot and wrapping around the front of the building. Parents can sit or stand anywhere along the route.
Please keep our Halloween costumes guidelines in mind. Students need to be able to put all costumes on over their clothes. NO scary masks (blood & gore), offensive costumes, face paints, colored hair sprays, or weapons. If you do not feel comfortable having your child participate in the parade, please notify the office.
Finally, our Pumpkin Walk has returned this year! We will hold the Pumpkin Walk in our back parking lot. We will have pumpkin judging set-up next to our preschool playground and the MSHS student organizations ready for students in the parking lot. We will have grab & go hotdog meals as well. Everyone can grab a hot dog, chips and a water to enjoy! Please see the flyer below.
Please contact the office with any questions.
Best,
Jimmy Feeney III
Principal

A letter from Dr. Melissa St. Germain
As a pediatrician and mom in your community, I know there is a lot of information out there about the COVID-19 vaccine. My goal is to ensure that you have the knowledge you need to make an informed decision to keep your family safe.
The COVID-19 vaccine is safe and effective, and is the only way we are going to put an end to this pandemic. The FDA recently gave full approval of the COVID-19 vaccine for teens and adults, and we are hopeful they will approve the vaccine for children as young as 5 years old before the end of the year.
The vaccines continue to be monitored very closely. In fact, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says that COVID-19 vaccines will have "the most intensive safety monitoring in U.S. history." I want to reiterate that even though the vaccine was developed quickly, it is safe. The process was sped up because we needed to get the pandemic under control quickly, but all the usual safety steps were followed, and tens of thousands of people participated in the clinical trials.
As a physician, I’ve watched firsthand how this devastating disease can cripple families. There is a way out of this pandemic, and that is through getting as many people vaccinated as possible. The vaccine not only decreases the risk of contracting the virus and transmitting it to others but prevents more than 90% of COVID-19 infections and most COVID-19 hospitalizations. It will help keep our community safe and allow us to get back to normal.
Children’s top priority is keeping children safe. I want nothing more than to see our children thriving, happy, and healthy again. Getting them vaccinated against COVID-19 is a step in the right direction, so please schedule your vaccine today.
Sincerely,
Dr. Melissa St. Germain
