Dear BES Families,
We have 3 weeks remianing in this school year. Please encourage your students to make the most of these last weeks. Learning will continue right up to the end of this year... mixed with some fun activities including Friday Funday.
Read on for more information as we prepare to wrap up our year!
BES Staff
Did You Know...
School staffing is directly tied to enrollment numbers?
If you know of any families that are moving to the area, please remind them to enroll as soon as they are able.
Any families that have a student who will be starting Kindergarten in August should enroll as soon as possible.
Please check out the FCPS website to learn more about enrollment. The earlier we have students enrolled, the earlier we can prepare for next year!
Friday Funday!
FRIDAY FUNDAY
Mini-Field Day, Special Activities, Games, Arts, Music & More!
Friday, May 26th
*** Spirit Day: BES Wear or Jerseys***
Field Day is a special part of the end of the school year. This year, we have no Gym and only 1 playfield for over 750 students due to construction and moving preparations. While a traditional Field Day is not possible, we will have a special day dedicated to fun and memories.
BES Specials teachers will be holding Mini-Field Day for each of the grade level from Kindergarten through 5th Grade. This will be one part of a fun day designed by staff.
Specials teachers are thankful that many parents have volunteered to help with the Mini-Field Day activities. If you did not get a chance to sign up, but still want to help, please contact Blake Williams to see if any volunteer spots remain. ( Blake.Williams@fcps.org )
Fifth Grade End of Year Picnic
The Fifth Grade End of Year Picnic planning is underway led by our 5th Grade Teachers. They are working with a wonderful committee of parent volunteers.
If you have any questions about the event, please contact your child's 5th Grade Teacher.
Additional Note:
All donations made to the PTO pertaining to the 5th Grade End of Year event have been donated to the school. The fifth grade staff will work with the current planning committee to access these resources.
Move Up Day and Clap Out
We are so proud of our 5th Grade students. They are finishing up their last few weeks as elementary students.
Move Up Day
Students visited BMS on May 11th in the morning. They had a great visit in preparation for their next adventure!
Clap Out
As in previous years, our outgoing 5th Graders will be "clapped out" by the younger students. This is a tradition that is special to all of the students in the school.
Date TBD
