Building Champions in Academics, Character, and Community
Thank You!
It has been an exciting 6 months as LHISD planned for this Bond election with the help of the Long Range Planning Committee and staff. I cannot thank the entire Liberty Hill ISD community enough for the vote of trust and support on passing the LHISD 2021 Bond.
This bond will give us the flexibility we need to proactively and purposefully build for the future growth in students and staff. In the coming weeks, we will be sending updates on the plans moving forward. We will start with the expansions of Liberty Hill and Louine Noble Elementary Schools.
In addition to the work that will start with the new Bond, LHISD is finishing up projects from the 2018 bond. The High School expansion is on schedule to finish construction this summer and includes 16 classrooms in addition to a new dance studio. Once the expansion is finished, the team will begin the renovation of CTE labs and program space. Construction on the new Santa Rita Middle School is on schedule for completion this summer and will welcome students in the fall of 2021.
It is a very exciting time in LHISD. I want to thank the team who served on the Long Range Facilities Planning Committee, the staff members who served during this process, the leadership team of LHISD, the Board of Trustees, and the voters. Without you, this would not be possible.
Thank you!
Steven Snell, Superintendnet

FFA
Liberty Hill was well represented Saturday morning at the Capital District Convention and Speaking Contest held at Vista Ridge High School.
Liberty Hill FFA had 4 speakers compete and Macy Tedder running for Capital District Officer and Katie Bird and Shelby Lee both ran for Area 12 Officer! Four Lone Stars were presented to the Capital District from Liberty Hill FFA - Katie Bird, Hannah Brooks, Shelby Lee, and Aislin McStay. These young ladies complete a minimum of three years of record bookkeeping and participate in a multitude of activities to receive the highest honor bestowed to a Texas FFA member. They will be advancing on to the Area 12 Degree Check in order to be approved for the state recognition.
We also had three voting delegates, Hannah Brooks, Hannah Lewis, and Aislin McStay with us during the day in order to vote for the talent contest as well as leadership positions for Capital District.
Speaking Results:
• Spanish Creed Speaking: Neiry Samaniego - 1st place
• Animal Science Prepared: Macy Tedder - 2nd place (advancing to Area)
• Ag. Technology & Communication Prepared: Shelby Lee - 2nd place (advancing to Area)
