New Jersey is a slavery free state, with religious and political freedom. In addition to the warm summers and fertile soil, it is a home to wheat, corn, rice, cattle, beef, and so much more.

The Royal Colony with English Galore, in the Year of 1664
After the Dutch and Swedes settled here, the English came and wiped them out and took control. The state was then given to Berkeley and Carteret. It was named New Jersey after Carteret's home, the island of Jersey.

1609 is the year that Henry Hudson sailed to Newark Bay and got a river named after him. If you're worried about mistreatment, don't since slavery was abolished in 1804.
