Healthy Eating Tuesday Tips - Protein and carbs

Protein is essential to building lean muscle mass and loosing fat. Carbs are very important for energy, but most people are getting way to many carbs and not enough protein. This is the area most women are lacking in their diet. I have covered portions in one of my past newsletters, but a good rule of thumb is that half your plate be green and the other half split between carbs and protein. The size of the palm of your hand is the size you should have of protein or meat. Watch doubling up on carbs. Having a potato and corn counts as 2 carbs, so does pasta and a roll.
