One of the most popular Disney movies of all time is capturing hearts in a whole new way: as a practically perfect musical! Based on the books by P.L. Travers and the classic Walt Disney film, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins is an enchanting mixture of irresistible story, unforgettable songs, breathtaking dance numbers and astonishing stagecraft.

As the A+ Coordinator at Park Hill, I get to interact with most of the student body as they work to complete the requirements of the A+ Scholarship Program. I am excited to say that right now about 75% of the student body is enrolled in the A+ program! This program has tremendous benefits for students that are involved and successfully complete the requirements upon graduation.

Benefits of Completing A+

  • 2 years of FREE TUITION at any Missouri community college or technical school

  • Several 4-year universities offer their own A+ Recognition Scholarships

  • Looks great on college, scholarship, and job applications

  • Students have 4 years after graduation to use the A+ financial incentive

  • Students make a positive impact in our community by mentoring and tutoring other students

In order to complete the A+ program the state of Missouri has set up a list of requirements that includes

  • 2.5 unweighted, cumulative GPA

  • 95% cumulative attendance

  • Maintain good citizenship

  • Complete 50 hours of unpaid mentoring and/or tutoring within the district

The full list of requirements can be seen on the Park Hill High School website at Select the “About Our School” tab and it will direct you to the A+ webpage. Also, on the webpage seniors and their families can locate information about senior deadlines and the actions that need to be taken before graduation. The most urgent requirement to finish are finishing up the 50 mentoring/tutoring hours and applying for FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). FAFSA must be completed before A+ funds can be awarded.

To get involved in the program, students can visit Mrs. Reys in the A+ office for an enrollment form and to sign up for an A+ Workshop where they will learn more about the program and how to successfully complete all requirements before graduation.

Park Hill High School Wrestling Room

Building champions on and off the mat are long-standing traditions at Park Hill and Greater Heights Wrestling. Through wrestling our program teaches the importance of family, hard work, respect, discipline, self-confidence and striving for personal excellence. Our goal is to create and then develop healthy, student-athletes into productive, upstanding citizens in the community. Park Hill/Greater Heights Wrestling provides a challenging environment that is conducive for each individual to grow and progress in the sport while learning sportsmanship and how to win and lose with class and dignity. It does not matter if your children are just getting started with little to no experience or if they have competed on the national level, our club has a spot for them to have fun and enjoy the many benefits of wrestling. We welcome both boys and girls from ages 4 through 14 years of age.
