Principal's Corner
Talk about how all choices have consequences. During a dinner, have each family member talk about choices mad during the day-and the results of those choices. Here are some examples.
*"I chose to do my homework. The result was that I got an "A" on my Math test."
*"I chose to get up 15 minutes late. The result was that I missed breakfast...and nearly missed the bus."
*I chose to go for a walk during my lunch hour. The result was that I felt better all afternoon." (Don't forget that you're a family member, too.)
This discussion will help your child see that he makes choices every day. Even more important, it will get him/her started thinking about his responsibility for the choices he/she makes
