Staff - Winter Break
Use the Winter Break to Renew Your Spirits and Sense of Purpose
Need to Know
I am so grateful to work for a staff that is so dedicated to our students. In all that you give, I know that all of you need time to unplug and rest over the next 2 weeks. Any information provided here is simply information for anyone that chooses to plan over break.
Upcoming Events
Please mark your calendars for the dates Feb. 10th - Feb. 19th. We will be holding a school wide event that we are calling Multiplication Wars. During these 6 days, we will take just 20 min from each period. It will rotate through each period. (Feb. 10th - 1st hour, Feb. 11th - 2nd hour, etc.) Details about what this time will look like and the final competition will be coming at our next staff meeting.
Jan 29th will be our PBIS launch date. We are still working out the details and will share everything soon.
No School Break
We recognize that students and staff need to unplug in order to strive for a healthy balance in our lives. As a way to support that we want to insure that teachers and students have a true "break" during our winter break. The expectation is that teachers will not be required to work over break and we ask that you plan accordingly so that students will not be expected to work over break as well. We should not have anything due upon the return in January that includes tests, presentations or other assignments. The exceptions will be college credit classes. There are to be no due dates prior to January 8th. Encouraging students to practice or read is acceptable but there are to be no set assignments or projects.
