National Children's Nutrition Month

Did you know March is National Children's Nutrition Month? My Plate is a free resource sponsored by the USDA Department of Agriculture with so many amazing resources. Check out this resource called "My Plate Plan" to get an idea of target food groups for your age, height, and weight. This resource is also available in Spanish. Kindergarten Kickoff

Thursday, March 9th, 4:30-6:30pm

All LSR7 Elementary Schools

Lee's Summit R-7 Schools has provided families with an all-day kindergarten program since 2009. Our annual Kindergarten Kickoff events occur annually each March and provide incoming families with an opportunity to receive information about their school program. The open house style events help incoming parents meet school staff, learn about summer school programming and register early for the upcoming school year.

Parents and students attend this open house event. They will have the opportunity to meet school staff, learn about the Summer Learning Institute and register early.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with our annual Emerald Isle Parade presented by ReeceNichols Lee’s Summit and sponsored by Dog Training Elite, Aristocrat Motors, Royal Roll Offs, and Freestyle Graphics. Featuring floats, Irish dancers, bagpipers, and more! Start your morning with the Gold Coin Hunt at 11:30 a.m. for the little lads and lasses before the parade kicks off at Noon. Stick around after the parade for a pub crawl, organized by Downtown bars and restaurants.

MCPL Early Literacy Fair

Parents and caregivers, along with their children ages birth through 6, are invited to an open house-style event to explore many of the Library’s early literacy resources. A variety of fun activities will be provided as we play and learn together!
