Students to Pioneer Their Own Learning
Watch for a permission form to come home in the near future and return to the school so that your child can participate in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. These events will be provided free of charge courtesy of the Tuscaloosa Bicentennial Commission.
Bama Parking
Central High School (CHS) and the Tuscaloosa Magnet Schools-Middle (TMSM) are inviting football fans to take advantage of game day parking for The University of Alabama’s home football games.
Parking lots will open to guests Saturday mornings before the games. TMSM and CHS will charge $20 per vehicle. RV parking is available at Central High for $175 per space.
CHS is located less than a mile from Bryant-Denny Stadium’s south end zone. CHS parking guests may enter the parking lot from 15th or 17th streets. Tickets will also be presented for placement in vehicle windows. CHS is located at 905 15th St., Tuscaloosa, AL 35401. Central’s proceeds benefit the school’s dual enrollment program.
“We are excited and thankful for our Alabama football fans,” said CHS Principal Dr. Clarence Sutton. “Thanks to them, we have about 70 students attending college starting as sophomores, and most of them will graduate from Central with 30 credit hours.”
TMSM offers convenient access to University Blvd. East and Interstate 20/59. Those who plan to park at TMSM should enter the parking lot from Campus Drive. Tickets will be provided to display in vehicle windows. UA’s free shuttle service to the stadium is available near the TMSM campus before and after games. The TMSM campus is located 315 McFarland Blvd. East, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404.
The next home game will be September 22 against Texas A&M.
