PSAT Scores
An update on PSAT scores! PSAT scores are available to students via their College Board portal beginning December 12th. In order to access scores your child will need to create a College Board Account with the email he/she used on her PSAT answer sheet. On December 22nd, during ELA Class, Mrs. Rosenbaum and Mr. Ehrlich will be working with students that took the PSAT to help students get the most out of their scores. During this time students will receive their PSAT score report and will learn what their scores mean, how to improve their scores with free assistance, and how to use popular tools such as "Roadmap to Careers." Roadmap to Careers is a tool used to learn about careers and college majors students might be interested in. Because there is about two weeks before we meet with students in the classroom we wanted to provide some tools that could help you review the scores at home.
*If you did not take the PSAT but still want to practice for the SAT please click on the Khan Academy link below the heading "I Did Not Take the PSAT-Now What?"
**The ACT is another option that all colleges accept as a college entrance exam. Biggest differences are that the ACT includes a science section and Algebra I and Geometry in the math section. The SAT does not have a science section and includes Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Trigonometry for math.
***When signing up for a spring ACT or SAT students that meet income eligibility guidelines qualify for 2 fee waivers a year! BUT students must come to the guidance office to get these waivers from either Mrs. Rosenbaum or Mr. Ehrlich.
