What's Up Jr. High ASB Officers?

Jr. High ASB will host an afterschool party for all students in grades 7 and 8, on Friday, February 26. Students are invited to stay after school, 2:40-4:30pm, in the gym, with supervision provided by school staff. There will be a $2 admission fee to cover the food and supplies they are purchasing for their party. Students are also asked to bring a can of food that ASB will donate to a local charity, and students will receive a raffle ticket for this donation.

There will be games and activities planned for students in the gym and a few classrooms. Snacks will be individually packaged (store bought) and served. ASB will hold a raffle as a fund-raiser to support future activities they are planning. Tickets will be sold ($1each) during this time, with the prize drawings near the end (4:15pm).

Please complete THIS FORM giving permission for your student to attend and to give us a good headcount for the Jr. High party. Questions can be directed to Mrs. James.

iReady Math at Home (K-8th)

The iReady math program, used for our elementary and junior high math instruction, is designed to help students continue to grow in math through personalized practice. Each student has lessons in their iReady online portal, either assigned by their teacher or by the iReady program (based on an individual student diagnostic assessment). The lessons are chosen to address gaps in learning specific to the student and will help your student learn and practice the math concepts they need and are ready to learn. Regular practice in the "My Path" area of the iReady portal is one of the best ways to support your student's progress in math, at least once a week. Our teachers appreciate the support from home, and would be happy to discuss this further when there are questions.

Private Schools Appreciation Day!

Oregon Governor Kate Brown has declared February 4, 2021 as Oregon Private Schools Appreciation Day! Attached is a copy of her proclamation. Equally exciting, Colt Gill, Director of the Oregon Department of Education, has joined in honoring Oregon's private schools! Attached is a copy of his letter addressed to all Oregon private schools.

Health Screening Prior to Daily Attendance

In our ongoing effort to keep on-site instruction possible, we remind parents of the understanding to complete daily health checks prior to school attendance. Please continue to monitor and screen your student for COVID-19 primary and secondary symptoms (fever above 100, cough, aches, loss of taste/smell, stomach upset, etc.). Protocols should be followed when they present signs of illness. Parents must keep their student home and notify the office when a student presents signs of illness or if there has been COVID exposure.

Thank you for being consistent in partnering with us on our protocols during this time.
