Physical and Chemical changes

Physical change

Any characteristic of a material that can be observed or measured without changing any of the characteristics of the material.

Example: 1.The color and shape of the object. 2.The length and mass of a object. 3.The volume and density of any liquid.

Chemical Change

  • A change in the identity of a substance due to the chemical properties of that substance.

Example: 1.Heat and light (vitamins can change exposed to light) 2.Electricty (water can be broken down with electricty)
