History of the Pineapple
It was originated in Brazil in South America. Some people think that Christopher Columbus and his crew were the first Europeans to eat the pineapple. Pineapples are the cousin of a the pine cone.
One of my favorite ways to eat pineapple, GRILLED!
Interesting Facts:
- It takes three years before a pineapple to mature
- Some pineapples are used for jack-o-lanterns
- Even though pineapples are originated in South America, they come from Asia more than any other country to this day
