SHS THEATRE PROGRAM RECEIVES $500 DONATION FROM PARTNERS FOR THEATER
Partners For Theater, an organization that supports and promotes the development of live theatre arts in Northeast Ohio, has made a generous donation of $500 to assist in funding the upcoming SHS's fall production of “Alice in Wonderland” (Nov. 15-16) and transportation for the upcoming NE Ohio Thespians Theatre Conference in January. Strongsville was one of three schools selected to receive this generous contribution. Thank you Partners For Theater!
MUSTANG SPOTLIGHT - MRS. CLAIRE CROWLEY, INTERVENTION SPECIALIST AT MURASKI ELEMENTARY
Mrs. Claire Crowley is in her second year as an Intervention Specialist at Muraski Elementary School. Mrs. Crowley earned her undergraduate degree from Bowling Green State University and her graduate degree from the University of Akron. In her short time with Strongsville Schools, she has made an impact and has already been recognized for her dedication to students. Last May, Mrs. Crowley received an “Excellence in Education” Award from the Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio. She was recognized for her work with students with disabilities, and her efforts in implementing research-based interventions that have allowed students to remain in the general education setting as much as possible.
“I like the diversity of all of my students. Every student has a different story and I love getting to know each and every one of them. My students put a smile on my face every day. I am always learning and growing and I love that about my job,” said Mrs. Crowley.
She added about working at Muraski, “I love my coworkers. Suzi Ketterer and I share a room and she has been the best mentor, role model, and friend I could have asked for when starting my education career. She is the best! Muraski is a great team.”
Thank you Mrs. Crowley for ensuring that each child you work with at Muraski is receiving the support, care, and interventions needed to reach their potential! #WeAreStrongsville
