Tips from Tim!
Ensuring our children know how to respond to emergencies
If you have not already done this, please consider having a discussion with your children about what to do in case of an emergency. Them knowing a few basic things can make all the difference in the world. Common Sense Media reports that 42% of children have a phone and know how to use it by age 10 and by age 12 it goes up to 71%. If your child is younger than that or does not have a phone here are some basics tips that could be important. Make sure your child knows how make a call for help and call 911. Knowing other important phone numbers and your home address might come in handy. And consider what other basic information might need to be provided to a call taker if they have dialed 911.
Thank you for all you do to help keep our kids safe!
