Japanese 2 - Recovery Week
Week of 5/9 - 5/13
Course Check In
We only have 2 weeks left of Japanese 2! Here's what's going on for the next 2 weeks:
- The are only 2 assignments left to submit for the course: your final Linguafolio project due on Wednesday, May 18th and your final project due Thursday May 19th.
- Friday, May 20th is the last day to submit work for this course.
- Click on the My Grades link in the menu bar on the side of the course and see if you are missing any work from Lessons 9 - 15. If you are, please submit any missing assignments over the next 2 weeks. 0s hurt your grade!
- Contact me if you have any questions on the assignments. I am more than happy to help you or answer any questions. The free Peer Tutoring Center is a great resource for help too.
Any late submissions from Lessons 1 - 8 turned in now cannot be accepted.
NCVPS offers a FREE peer tutoring center for all students of Japanese 2 to receive some extra help or practice with the course material. Click the button above to access the PTC.
Attend Language Coaching This Week and Next Week!
Remember to attend *BOTH* of your language coaching sessions this week and next week. If you need to make up missed coaching sessions, please plan to make them up this week and next week.
Check out the link below for all the information on how to make up missed coaching.
Final Project Slide Sample
Check out Tanaka san's final project slide for Lesson 15 below, and click the link below that to listen to her recording of the slide.
Let's look at what she wrote line by line:
When is Golden week?
なつやすみ に にほん に いく つもりです。
For summer vacation I intend to go to Japan.
Together, let's go to the festival.
はい、 だいじょうぶ だ と おもいます。
Yes, that sounds fine/OK.
I think my life is busy.
This slide is excellent because it has 5 sentences using grammar and vocabulary from lesson 15 and a picture that corresponds to at least one of the sentences (in this case the festival) on the slide.
Course Survey and Coach Nominations
Do you know of a World Language coach who goes above and beyond the call of duty? If so, please nominate them for NCVPS Coach of the Year! You can nominate multiple coaches. You do not have to nominate your usual coach, and you can nominate a coach from another NCVPS world language if you've taken that class before and want to nominate that coach. Thank you for your participation!
Remember you must submit 1 entry per NCVPS course you are currently taking this semester.
