Please follow/ like Washington Middle School Facebook Page. We are sharing lots of information, challenges, fun ideas, and pictures with you all.
Thank you
This year will be one that goes down in history. It's hard to believe next week will be our final week for the 2019-2020 school year. This is not exactly what we had planned, however, our staff have worked hard to find a way to say goodbye and happy summer to students. Tuesday at 1:00 the Wolf Crawl will be taking place. This is our way to say "happy summer and we will miss all of our student" Here is the route for the parade.
We are all so fortunate to have worked with all of you and your children this year. We appreciate you, your partnership in education, and your support. We never could have pulled off distance learning without all of you and your constant efforts. Thank you!
As we approach the summer months, please stay connected. Let our office know if you move or your contact information changes. Check out our Facebook page and website periodically in order to find out more about upcoming events and Washington happenings.
We Have Items that Belong to MPSD: What Should We Do With Them?
Many of our students have materials from MPSD at home. They may have library books, classroom library books, textbooks, computers, etc.
All 2019-2020 grade 6-8th students returning to our district for the 2020-2021 school year should plan to keep their district assigned or loaner Chromebook until further notice. Students and families should continue to work hard to take great care of their assigned device and look for messages as we approach the start of the 2020-2021 school year for next steps.
All students not returning to our district for the 2020-2021 school year will return musical instruments and other belongings following the forthcoming district planned drop-off schedule. The finer details of this schedule will be shared soon.
4th Quarter Summative Reports
Teachers are students are currently working on completing their summative reports for 4th quarter. Please check in with your child to make sure he/she has completed their Google Form for each class, reflecting on the work they have completed and the learning they have accomplished during 4th quarter. Once they complete their form, teachers will then add their comments to the summative report.
All summative reports will be sent home after June 12th.
Summer School Update
In an effort to maintain safety, all Enrichment course offerings, sports camps, and other unique courses for MPSD Summer School in July have been canceled. We will continue to monitor information provided from the state and county to determine if Elementary Academy (July 20-August 7) and Middle School Transition week (August 10 - 14) will be held face to face. The MPSD Summer School team is investigating online options available to all age levels and a summer school update will be provided weekly on our website and social media outlets to relay up to date information.
