The Parkway Post
INAGURAL EDITION: ISSUE 1 - OCTOBER 2022
Principal's Message
We're off to a super-fantastic 2022-23 school year. This year's theme is "Building Better Together". Our motto remains the same, One TEAM, One GOAL, One Family with our slogan as "Excellence without Excuses".
It's hard to believe that the first quarter will end this month. Thank you so much for being so supportive of Parkway! As we prepare to begin the second quarter, there will be no more schedule changes. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's schedule please contact your child's Guidance Counselor. Parents, I encourage you to monitor your child's grades frequently through Pinnacle. Please contact your child's Guidance Counselor if you need any assistance with Pinnacle. We're all in this together, we want to ensure that any academic concerns that you may have are addressed in a timely manner.
It's my pleasure to announce our school's 2023 Teacher of the Year Ms. Yolanda Garcia. Ms. Garcia has been a educator for over 30 years and our 2023 School-Related Employee of the Year is Ms. Valarie M. Gray, Office Manager. Ms. Gray has served the Parkway community variety of roles over the past 20+ years. We salute each of these ladies for their unwavered commitment to education and our families at Parkway.
Please take a moment and peruse The Parkway Post Inaugural Edition. Each month you will receive an electronic version via email to the email address that we have on file for your child. In addition, hard copies will be available in the front office as well as on our school's website at https://www.browardschools.com/parkway.

School Uniforms
Parkway Middle School is a mandatory unified dress code school. It is expected that all scholars are in uniform. Uniforms help us recognize our students in case of an emergency. It also allows students to concentrate on academics instead of the latest fashion trends. The student dress code guidelines outlined in the Code of Student Conduct will be enforced. Students are not allowed to wear hoodies, crocs, and or torn jeans/garments at any time. Each and Everyday is a Uniform Day!!!!
