December 7th - 11th
What Will We Be Learning This Week??
Reading: We will begin learning about and participating in Readers' Theatre!
Writing: We will write our new realistic fiction story.
Phonics/Grammar: We will practice with vowel teams and adverbs.
Math: We will solve one-step and multi-step word problems involving addition and subtraction with numbers to 1,000 using a variety of strategies. We will generate and solve problem situations for a given mathematical number sentence.
Social Studies: We will identify the significance of and compare various ethnic and/or cultural celebrations through listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Science: We will identify and demonstrate how to use, conserve, and dispose of natural resources.
Important Dates:
- December 7th - Hour of Code Week!
- December 9th - Commitment forms for Face to Face learners for 3rd 9 weeks due.
- December 9th - Library Curbside Pickup (11:00-1:00)
- December 11th - Early Release Day! (12:30 Dismissal)
Early Release Day:
On Friday, December 11th, we will have an early release day. For in person learners, this means they will be dismissed at 12:30 pm. For distance learners, this means Zoom times and Specials will be adjusted. Only the Language & Literacy (purple) and Math (red) courses will have coursework on Schoology!
