Principal's Notes and Highlights
Happy Friday!
One of the many things that I enjoy about this job is following our student's successes outside of the classroom.
- 5th grade student Lucy Wilson, was co-emcee of "Great Girls, Wonderful Women" luncheon hosted at the Foundation For Youth. Mrs. Netser attended the event and said Lucy did an excellent job!
- 4th graders Ayden Brubaker and Carter Patterson wrapped up the football season as they finished 10-0 and won the Central Indiana Bantam Football League Championship! Both were selected as All-Stars!
The basketball teams will kick-off the EBL season against Smith Elementary @ Smith next Wednesday. The first game starts at 5:30 p.m. We will have a pep rally Wednesday afternoon for the basketball and cheerleading teams. Go Huskies!
The upstairs restrooms were recently renovated. 6th graders Libby Bronkella and Henry Sims were kind enough to give you a short tour of these fabulous new spaces (see below)!
Finally, I've included a link with some photos I took as I walked around school this morning. Many classes were wrapping up assessments. I thought you might enjoy a quick snapshot of what life is like at CSA Lincoln on a Friday morning.
Have a great weekend!

The Linden Project
Come Out and Play! Community Play Date
Many thanks to all of the parents and staff who set-up, worked at, and participated in the Come Out and Play event last weekend! We also need to thank all of the generous independent consultants and small business owners who donated items for the silent auction along with our fantastic community partners who's efforts put our project in front of many members of the community AND raised approx. $400 for The Linden Project!
November 3rd is our deadline to meet the $32,000 goal in order to have the IHCDA match that with a grant for $32,000. As of today we are $9,966 away from that goal. We know you have given so much to this project and we are almost at the finish line, but we still need your help to get the word out! Please like and share The Linden Project posts on FB and IG, talk to neighbors, friends, co-workers about what we are trying to do for the community, and maybe put our information in front of someone you think might want a spot on our donor wall. Someone else won't do it, YOU are who we need so please share with at least 1 person this week and lets get this space finished for our kids and for the community!

PTO
Howl-O-Ween
We had a total of 226 kids stay after school to join us for Howl-O-Ween Fest! A great big THANK YOU to the parent volunteers, staff, and teachers who helped out last week for giving of your time and talents! Your hard work, from planning to supervising and running events made Howl-O-Ween Fest 2017 a great success!
We'd like to take the opportunity to say that without this extra help from parents and staff the PTO can not pull off such wonderful events for the kids. If any parent or staff member is interested in learning more about PTO and how to get involved, we welcome you to join us at one of our meetings. We generally meet on the third Thursday of the month from 6-7 in the CSA Lincoln library. Our next scheduled meeting is on Thursday, November 19. You can also email PTO at ptocsalincoln@gmail.com to begin receiving PTO emails.
Box Tops Winners
Congratulations to Mrs. Cash's class who took the trophy with a total of 1075 box tops! Miss Dyerling's class came in second place with a total of 866 box tops. As a school we were able to collect nearly 3,600 box tops during this competition! Reminder: you can submit box tops any time and as long as they have your teachers name on the bag/envelope they will count toward the classroom total for the next box top competition so start turning in your box tops today!
