Principal Message
- It is recommended that children ages 6-13 should be getting around 9-11 hours of sleep a night to feel rested and ready for the day. That sleep also helps them remain healthy, so they can continue to be at school learning each day.
Today's families are busy. There is not always a lot of time in the evening to work together as a family. Sometimes, mornings are tight as well. If your child is old enough, talk about his/her preferred style is for getting ready for the next day. Do they like the night or the morning better for the bulk of the work that needs to be completed to prepare for the next day? When they have a choice, the routine becomes smoother and more accepted.
If your child is forgetful, set a checkoff list they can refer to, to help them get their routine down.
Thank you for a great start to 2018.
