Rock, Roll and Release – Yoga Tune Up® Therapy Ball Workshops

Hit the reset button for your body. Life is filled with stress, and the body has a tendency to absorb that tension, storing it in the muscles, joints and connective tissue. This ends up restricting the natural flow of blood, lymph, and nerve impulses, which can lead to chronic stress patterns that further exaggerate physical tension. In each session you will explore techniques that can help to loosen up overworked or underused areas that have become tension “hot spots”. We will open each session with some gentle yoga movement, warming up the connective tissue and then move into deeper, more specific work using Yoga Tune Up® Therapy Balls. The balls are made of a special rubber that grips at your skin, grabs at multiple layers of muscles, and rubs out adhesions in a deep penetrating way. These balls help put you in control of your own self-healing and are a wonderful addition to your self-care toolkit. Balls will be available for everyone to use at the workshop.
Workshops taught by Juliet Hewitt, RYT-500. Juliet teaches an alignment-based yoga emphasizing the therapeutic aspects achieved through a dedicated practice. She has over 15 years of experience teaching yoga. For more information, email Juliet Hewitt at juliethewitt@sc.rr.com.
