This week Traditional students will finish work in Unit 7: La Famille and begin Unit 8: La Cuisine. Students will learn three new irregular verbs - dire, lire and écrire, as well as how to show ownership using possessive adjectives. Assignments due this week include:

This week in EC courses students will finish work in Unit 8: La Cuisine and begin work in Unit 9: Les Passetemps. Lesson this week will include cultural passages of French cuisine and recreational vocabulary. Assignments due this week include:

Again, note that while the course calendars for Tradition, Early Calendar and Year-Long courses do not align, students may choose to attend any live session of their choosing. Students are also welcome to attend more than one session for extra practice! Students need to log in with both first and last name to ensure they receive credit for attendance. Those who phone in using the teleconference option need to identify themselves to the instructor presenting so their attendance is documented!

1. Je suis une bonne maman fière (good proud mommy) de 4 enfants.
2. Nous sommes 7 en total avec notre chien adorable Bisous (which means Kisses in French).
Elle adore donner beaucoup de bisous à nous tous (lots of kisses to us all)!
3. Ma fille ainée (oldest daughter) Madeleine a 20 ans et habite en Hollande où elle passe l'année comme au paire. Elle est très sociable! La reste de nous vivons en Floride pour le moment.
4. Mon mari (my husband) Bryan travaille dans la finance (works in Finance) et aime beaucoup courir (loves running). Il est très fort!
5. Mon fils (son) Sterling vient de finir ses études au lycée (just graduated) et va commencer à l'université de Central Florida en août (college in August). Lui, il est très intelligent!
6. J'ai aussi un autre fils qui s'appelle (named) BeauPatrick, qui a 8 ans. Il aime jouer au basket ainsi que faire de la natation (he likes playing basketball and swimming.) Il est super actif!
7. La cadette (the youngest one) Sophiejoon a 6 ans et est très active aussi. Elle est toujours heureuse! (always happy!)
Mon mari a les cheveux noirs (has black hair), les enfants sont bruns (are brunette), et moi..je suis la seule blonde (the only blond). I wonder pourquoi...:-)"

"Il a y trois personnes (three people)dans ma famille- mon mari (husband), Larry, ma fille (daughter), Jordan, et moi. Larry est brun, sportif et très intelligent (brunette, sportive and smart)! Je suis assez grande, sportive, et blonde (tall, sportive and blonde). Notre fille, Jordan, a 24 ans. Elle fait ses études (studies) à Emory Law School. Elle est aussi sportive, très drôle (funny) et très aimable (loveable). Nous avons deux chiens (two dogs), Terp qui a presque 8 ans et Nikki qui a 4 ans. En plus, nous avons un chat (cat) qui s'appelle Squeaky.
Notre famille aime jouer aux sports et regarder les sports (likes to play and watch sports). Nous aimons voyager (travel), diner aux restaurants, et regarder des films (watch movies). Mais surtout, nous aimons nous amuser ensemble (have fun together)."
