2017 STEAM Design Challenge
Submit your original artwork for the 2017 STEAM Extravaganza
Design Challenge
Help the Umpqua Valley STEAM Hub (UVSH) with the 2017 STEAM Extravaganza, occurring May 6, by submitting your design for the event t-shirt. This event will highlight STEAM education and opportunities all throughout Douglas County in a community fair setting at UCC. This will be a participating event for the state-wide STEAM Week. The design needs to represent the elements STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts (or artistic innovation), and Mathematics--although it does not need to include the full words.
The competition is open to all high school students of Douglas County in grades 9-12. The winner will be chosen by UVSH Project Coordinator with the help of Seven13 Studios. The chosen design will be used not only on t-shirts, but also on advertisements and materials for the STEAM Extravaganza and featured on our Faceboook page, website, and in the News Review. Runners up will be displayed in a gallery walk at the event.
Requirements:
- Entry should be roughly 10" wide.
- The entry must include the phrase "STEAM Extravaganza" and "2017."
- Your entry must be wholly original and not contain any copyright material.
- Entries must be submitted as an attachment to umpquavalleysteamhub@gmail.com. Please be prepared to submit the original artwork if needed. We reserve the right to make adjustments to the winning entry.
- Entries must be received by 4:30pm on April 3, 2017.
- Include your name, telephone number and school (must be a Douglas County student, private and home school included, grades 9-12).
- By submitting you agree to allow Umpqua Valley STEAM Hub to use and reproduce your entry.
