1). Just Did It.
This slogan from Nike is arguably the most penetrating of all slogans. A gentlemen named Dan Wieden coined the slogan in 1988, after being inspired by a dying man's last words. It was one of the top taglines of the 20th century and still carries great influence today. Those 3 words are continuously on target. They call us to action. Action that we know our bodies need. Action that may be uncomfortable, but we are fully aware would be of great benefit.
See the vision, stir the passion, and just do it. The foreseen result has to be greater than the temporary discomfort. That's where we come in. We can help you see the reasons and the results! We have to go from "I can't," to "Just do it," to "Just did it!"
I love to hear that phrase as people are walking out of the Coliseum. We hear as members enter, "I made it!", which is half the battle, and "Just did it!" as they exit. Build that bridge between those two statements. As Tony Stajduhar reminded us two weeks ago, "My schedule is busier than ever, I have just made up my mind to just do it. I treat my gym time as if it was an important business meeting. And it is! I'm in the business of personal health. The more I meet my training times the less I will have to meet with doctors in the future!"
Myth: "I don't have time."
Truth: You don't have time 'not to.' You actually create time, or energy, by investing in yourself. Make that mental switch and go from "Just do it" to "Just did it!"

5). Associate Highlights from the Recent Spartan Race
Our people are finding their fit in many places! Here is a great examples of friends at work getting together to set a goal, get on a training plan and crossing a finish line!
“I kept reminding myself during this intense race: 'The harder the struggle, the more glorious the triumph.'”
Missy Forte
“It was a great experience running the Spartan race with family and friends. Not only did I have them as a team, but also fellow Spartans helping each other over walls. It is the epitome of team work. Ready for round 2 Missy?!”
Meghan Wilson
Laura Hitch
"It was tough! We trained for a couple of months and we needed every minute of training. It was 4.5 miles with 20+ obstacles. Everything from a fire pit, barbed wire crawl through mud, climbing a vertical cargo net up a 40 cliff unharnessed, even a javelin throw. It was rough all the way around but glad we made it through!"
