LCMS INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC FUNDRAISER 1/11/23
HELP THE KIDS IN UKRAINE
Many kids from Ukraine are struggling right now with the war between Ukraine and Russia. That is why Los Cerritos is having a fundraiser to raise money for the kids in Ukraine! Our goal is $1,500. Come check out how you can help!
January 9th thru 13th: We will have a ticket sale sold during lunch. Buy tickets for $1.00 each to support the kids in Ukraine. Each ticket purchased will be placed in your 1st period teachers' envelope. The class with the most tickets will receive a DONUT PARTY in your first period class.
January 10 & 12: We will have a bake sale after school! Donate to the kids in Ukraine and receive a baked good! Location if raining will be Jungle Hallway, if not it will be at the school marquee. STAND WITH UKRAINE!
TEEN CENTER SKI/SNOWBOARD TRIPS
All CVUSD students ages 12-17 are welcome. Trips are from 6:00am - 7:30pm on Monday January 23rd and/or Friday February 17th. Cost is $150 per person and includes transportation, lift ticket, and supervision. Permission slip/proof of family medical insurance REQUIRED to attend. Click on flyer for more info. LCMS PARENT GROUP MEETINGS
If you are interested in learning about SEL resources and tools that can be applied at home, contact School Site Council member (and mom of 8th grader) Sonja Montiel at sonja@thedheffect.com.
Meetings will be held monthly. Day/time will be determined by group.

STUDENT DEVICE CLAIMS
To expedite the claim process and to return the device more quickly to the student, you can have your student bring their device into front office to let our school computer tech enter the claim for them.
OPT-IN COMMUNICATION FOR CVUSD ADVISORY COUNCIL/COMMITTEE UPDATES
In CVUSD, parent/guardian engagement and participation is a top priority! Participation is encouraged through many organizations and activities. Several CVUSD Advisory Councils/Committees that support parent/guardian participation are listed below, with the OPTION for you to select any or all to receive communications from the school’s identified parent/guardian representative and/or from school site administration. This communication would provide information and updates to you related to the Advisory Council/Committee meetings.
Please select the Council(s)/Committee(s) that you would like to receive information and updates on, approximately monthly. If you have students at multiple school sites, please submit the form for each school. Additionally, if you opted-in last year, please plan to do so annually. Importantly, should you choose to opt-in to receiving these updates, the parent/guardian representative for the Advisory Council(s)/Committees(s) and/or the administration will not share your email address with others. You also have the ability to opt-out at any time in the event you no longer wish to receive the Advisory Council/Committee information.
