Pioneer Community Update 3/12/20
Please see communication from Mrs. Bainbridge earlier in the week.
Parent Community of Pioneer Elementary,
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has recommended school districts across the country plan for remote learning, should school closures become necessary in the future. In order to have an effective remote learning plan in place, we are asking our families and students to assist us by assessing your household’s preparedness for, and access to, online learning opportunities.
We are in the process of gathering information from families to help ensure our remote learning plan. Please take a moment and fill out the DCSD Device Access Survey (if you have not done so already) to help us plan in the event we will do remote learning at Pioneer Elementary.
If you have selected that your family will need a device in the event we do remote learning, please review the Technology Contract linked here: Tech Contract and return it to school as soon as possible. All families who sign and return the Technology Contract will receive one Chromebook on Friday for use after Spring Break in the event that schools are shut down. These devices must return to school with your child when school re-opens or after Spring Break if no shutdown occurs.
We are hopeful that we do not land in the position where it is necessary to close the school, however, we want to be prepared. If you want more information regarding how DCSD is responding to the Coronavirus please visit the following link: Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Thank you for your attention to this information!

Please join us at our next meeting on Wednesday, March 25th @ 8 am in the Makers Space.
We have put together a survey to get your input on how PTO has been doing this year. One major part of it is seeing what times and days work best for meetings so we can have the most participation. It is quick and easy and we would really appreciate it if you would take the time to do it. Here is the link to the survey:
