Using apps on the iPad in the classroom is a way that students can get engage in the material and involved in new ways. Below is a list of 10 apps that I suggest using in elementary classrooms
Nearpod is a way of bring the classroom to life with interactive mobile presentations that teachers create and customize themselves. Teachers can create interactive presentations so that the students can participate during lecture!
Educreations is an app that can be used to create and share video lessons with your iPad or browser. Teachers can create videos for students who need more help with content and students can make videos to teach their peers.
MathBoard for iPad is an educational application designed to help students excel in arithmetic operations. The level of difficulty is customizable, making MathBoard a great for teachers to quiz students on addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, squares, cubes, and square roots.
50 States with Flat Stanley
50 States with Flat Stanley is a great app to help students learn about the 50 states in a fun and engaging way. The custom teacher dashboard allows teachers to monitor the progress of their students. Teachers can easily access the results by level for each student in their class making it possible to deliver individual instruction if needed.
Star Walk is an app that allows teachers to launch the app and point your iPhone at the night sky, you'll see the stars, planets, satellites, and constellations in their proper place from your location. As you move your device, the star map updates in real time. The Moon is the easiest first target. The app allows you to go deeper beyond what you can see and then lets students share what they find and learn.
Geomaster helps improve student's knowledge of geography. This app has high resolution maps and interactive games that help students learn while they play.
The Common Core app is a great reference for students, parents, and teachers to easily read and understand the core standards. Quickly find standards by subject, grade, and subject category (domain/cluster). This is a way for teachers to be able to easily store the common core standards and access them quickly when lesson planning.

The app is a great way for students to learn about the Nation's capital in an interactive way.
