Columbus Day

A Day of Remembrance

History of Columbus Day

Columbus landed in North America on October 12, 1492. His crew and him set sail from Palos, Spain on August 3, 1492 on three ships- the Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria. The explorer returned to Spain with gold, spices, and “Indian” captives in March 1493 and was received with the highest honors by the Spanish court. He was given the title “admiral of the ocean sea”.

How I Will Celebrate...

I never really do anything special to celebrate Columbus Day. To me, it's usually an extra day where I can just sit at home, eat food, watch netflix, and just chill.
