A school messenger was sent out this week regarding a "character" named Momo. This "character" is getting access to children through different online videos and apps. This has caused some concern for our elementary students and parents. Although at our Jr/Sr High School we have students who are a little older, it is a reminder for us to talk to all of our students regarding online safety. This includes knowing who students are communicating with and making sure students don't divulge personal information. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

Robotics
January 5, 2019 was launch day for the Cyber Orioles 7202, the Morrice First Robotics team. There we were given our mission and six weeks to build a robot that could place disks or shoot balls. Our team choose to place disks onto a rocket with three different heights. The tallest being six foot, three inches and the lowest being one foot, six inches. In addition, the field was only presented on video. With this challenge the Cyber Orioles 7202 had their own goals: to use javascript, use a camera, have a lift, and pneumatics. These are big goals being only the second year of the teams existence.
The seniors led the way each taking responsibility for specific tasks. Jakob Hedger is the Public Relations person. Andrew Latunski is the software and mechanical person. Rihanna Lucas is design developer and mechanical person. Ryan Novak is design developer, mechanical and electrical person. Jacob Rawza is pneumatics and mechanical person. Connor Lucas is software and mechanical person. Owen Latunski, Zu Scribner, and Angel Caverly learned software, mechanical and electrical from the seniors. Sam Koresky helped with purchasing. The Cyber Orioles completed their robot on February 19.
Cyber Orioles’ first event is in Shepard, on March 28, 29, and 30. The second event is in Mason on April 4, 5, and 6. Please come out to support the Cyber Orioles 7202.
