Magnesium helps control levels of calcium, copper, zinc, potassium, vitamin D, and other important nutrients in the body. People young and old, male and female need magnesium in their diets because it helps reduce the risk of magnesium deficientcy. Magnesium supplements are available in most pharmacies.
