Clubs and Organizations
Ski Club is back!
Byron Area Schools is once again organizing a ski and snowboard club in conjunction with Mount Holly Ski Area. This year we hope to continue with the opportunity for more of our students and families to participate in skiing and boarding. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginning skier or an experienced snowboarder, fun will be had by all. We encourage you to invite a friend or another family member to join our club. This is an amazing opportunity to take lessons, make new friends, and build memories that will last a lifetime. If you or your child is interested please contact Ms. Laurin for general information, questions, and answers.
We will be holding an information night on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 6:00 pm in the high school library. You will have an opportunity to purchase your memberships at that time.

We will start to meet up 1 to 2 days a week from then until the season officially starts which will be the reveal on Saturday January 7th. More details to come on that. Update on our STEAM Car Smash fundraiser we did this summer. Of the $10,000 we want to raise for the Art, Music and Robotics Programs, we have raised so far we received $850 from the event, in addition to over $5,500 of commitment from other supporters of the program. We are close, and when the business team starts to meet in November/December, we will continue to reach out to local business and organizations to help us reach that goal.

Middle School News and Happenings
Brayden Steele - MS Student of the Month
What teachers are saying about Brayden...
Brayden is an 8th grader at Byron. Brayden has a history of being very successful in the classroom. He is also known to be very nice to all in the building. His teachers described him as a very well behaved student and kind to others. As a Cross Country runner, Brayden works as hard in class as he does out on the course. He never walks away from a challenge. All of these traits give us confidence that he will finish middle school with behaviors and be ready to jump up to high school next year. Brayden, keep doing good things here at Byron!

Ashley Nixon - HS Student of the Month
What teachers are saying about Ashley...
Ashley is off to a very good start in her senior year here at Byron. Her grades are good in Byron classes and also is successful at Genesee Career Institute. As Student Council President, Ashley was also very active and involved in all the homecoming festivities. She organized and oversaw many moving parts that helped the school have a fantastic week of homecoming. She also filled in as the Eagle mascot at the school kick off fundraiser. This hard work and school spirit made a huge impact on so many people. Great job Ashley!
