PARENT TIPS FOR VIRTUAL LEARNING
EVERY STUDENT EMPOWERED, EVERY STUDENT SUCCEEDS!
Together, we are a TEAM! Together, we.are.ELMORE.
In these unprecedented times, know that we are here to support you and your children.
Our goal is two-fold:
1) to move our children forward with learning those critical standards needed for success
2) to prevent academic regression
The recent outbreak has caused schools all over the U.S to adapt to remote learning. We all want what's best for our students here in Elmore County so please know that you are not alone! Students, parents, teachers, and educators from all over the world are facing this challenge as one unified team.
In Elmore County, we have adopted these modes of learning at home:
Grades K - 5 are using a blended approach: Google Classroom and packets
Grades 6 - 12 are using the virtual platform, EDGENUITY & Google Classroom
During this time of uncertainty, it's vital that parents and guardians remain positive and keep an open mind. Your child(ren) will adopt the same attitude and online learning will be successful as a result. If at any time you have any questions or concerns about online work, please contact your child's teacher(s) directly through call/email. If you cannot reach your child's teacher, please call the Principal, who can then help you navigate this avenue of learning.
With all of this in mind, we have provided you some helpful tips and videos (done by our own Elmore County teachers) on virtual learning. Tips for Home eLearning and How-to Videos are below.
The first part of this newsletter is dedicated to Google Classroom and remote learning at home; the second part is dedicated to Edgenuity.
Thank you and God Bless!

If you're working at home alongside your child(ren), check out this site:
EDGENUITY: GRADES 6 - 12
These resources include instructions on using the Parent Portal and Progress Reports, a student-user guide, as well as tips for trouble-shooting access at home.
Also parents, please keep in mind that if you need access or help getting into the parent portal, please contact your child(ren)'s teacher directly via email or phone call. Of course, an easier way to get access into your child's progress is to log in to your child(ren)'s account where you can see progress and all of their grades.
