Weekly message from Administration...
Attendance at school is very important for our students' overall success. Please remember the gates open at 7:55 and school starts promptly at 8:15, this means our staff on duty will be locking all of the gates to campus by 8:13 to ensure they can get to their classes on time as well, so please plan accordingly. Students entering campus after that time will be marked tardy and will need to sign in at the front office.
Our goal and main priority is to ensure our students receive amazing instruction academically as well as social and emotionally and they need to consistently be in class for this to occur. Please contact the office and/or your child's teachers regarding special circumstances surrounding absences.
Thank you for your support and dedication to your student's success!

Hello Firebird Athletes!!!
Our extra curricular sports season has kicked off with softball and baseball...but this also means aches and pains for some of our student players. It is VERY important that students warm up AND cool down properly after playing sports in order to avoid injury. Getting muscles ready for play by stretching, repeated but easy movements used during play, hydrating, warming and massaging the muscles gets them ready for intense activity. After the practice or game is over, its important for the athlete to rehydrate with electrolytes, stretch, take a warm bath with epsom salts if possible, cool down any injured muscles, massage any muscles that remain tense, and relax the muscles as much as possible before sleeping. Kinesio tape and ace wraps can be helpful in supporting strained muscles and joints. Good nutrition and restful sleep can help the body recover from competitive play. Take care of your bodies Athletes, so you can STAY IN THE GAME!!! Go FIREBIRDS!!!
