PK3.3 News
2nd - 6th March
Hello PK3.3 Parents!
This week our class has been celebrating "Bringing Literature to Life". Our chosen author was Laura Numeroff and we have been enjoying her book "If you give a mouse a cookie". A delightful story about a demanding mouse who wears out a little boy with his never-ending requests. Everyone knows that if you give a mouse a cookie . . . well, he’ll end up wanting your entire house!
Laura stories are excellent way to introduce the children to sequencing, making predictions, and identifying cause-and-effect .
We have also been enjoying Laura's other books: If you give a cat a cupcake, If you take a mouse to school and If you give a pig a pancake, to name but a few.
Lets all wish Andres a very happy 4th Birthday!
On Wednesday we swapped classes with PK3.1 and PK3.2 to hear what they have been reading. In PK3.1 we heard all about "Pants!" by Giles Andreae. A hilarious rhyming book about animals, people and their different pants!
Llama Llama Red Pajama by Anna Dewdney was waiting for us in PK3.2. Baby Llama turns bedtime into an all-out llama drama but Mama is able to set things right. A great read for any child that worries at bedtime.

Our first "Mystery Reader" !
Lowen was very surprised when Mum arrived in class to read us one of Lowen's favorite books, Knuffle Bunny by Mo Willems. Lowen even shared her own Knuffle Bunny with the class. Thank you for sharing!
We have more mystery readers lined up for this week but will happily make time over the following weeks for anyone wanting to come and share a story with us. Just drop me an email.
And there was lots of this........
New study topic - Oceans .
Next week we will be extending our water theme and start learning about Oceans and Ocean animals.
Show and Tell is a great opportunity to have children who have visited the ocean to share mementos from their trip. I encourage you to send your child with any photos, seashells, starfish, or other items you may have to share with their classmates. The children love to share their experiences aloud in class.
Important reminders and dates for your diary
School supply drive for sister school: 2nd - 13th March.
One of ISP's ongoing service initiatives is a yearly drive to collect service supplies for our sister school, Gabriel Lewis Galindo in Las Trancas. This year the supply drive will run from March 2nd-13th. Over the next two weeks students are asked to bring in items and the 5th grade SRC will deliver the supplies to the school on Monday, March 16th, a date which is celebrated as International Good Deed Day. PK3 are asking for donations from each family of 1 box of crayons and 1 package of play dough. I thank you in advance for your support.
Family Fun Fair - 21st March 9:00- 16:00: Be sure to join us for another fabulous fun day organized by our PTA. Further details to follow.
PE is every FRIDAY - please send your children in wearing PE uniform and suitable footwear. Long hair should be tied back.
