Who were the people associated with the change?

Towards the end of the scientific revolution, it contributed to the Enlightenment because people began to realize that not everything they had been told was true.
How is that change evident in today's modern society?
Some of the same technology is still used today. Physics from Isaac Newton and the study of gravity. Also telescopes are used.
