Girls Swim Earns First Final Four Finish At State Meet

It was a great season for the Lady Viking swimmers and they capped it off on Saturday with a fourth place finish at State. This is the first time in program history that the girls swim team has finished in the Final Four at State. The highlight of the meet was the 200 Free Relay of Emma Brabham, Natalie Nguyen, Madison Nguyen and Reagan Cathcart winning the State Championship and setting a new State time in the 200. Congratulations to the girls swim program on a great season!

Wrestling Finishes Eighth At State Meet; Medals Three

Congratulations to the wrestling program on finishing 8th at the State Meet this weekend. The Vikings were coming off a GAC South Championship and District Championship heading into the three day meet. The Vikings started the meet with nine State Qualifiers and ended medaling three. The three day meet was capped off with State Championships by our very own Peter Enos at 152 lbs and Jack Flynn at 195 lbs. Jack finished the season undefeated at 47-0. The addition of Peter and Jack's State Championships now brings the storied Howell Wrestling program to 31 State Champions in program history. Congratulations to Coach Stroh and the wrestling program on another top ten finish at State.

Peter Enos Wins State Championship

Congratulations to Peter Enos on winning the State Championship at 152 lbs at the MSHSAA State Wrestling Meet over the weekend. Peter finished his senior season 49-2 and became the 30th State Champion in the Howell Wrestling programs history. This is Peter's third State Championship of his high school career. Previously Peter had won two State Championships in Nevada before transferring to Howell. Congratulatons to Peter on a great season!

Jack Flynn Wins State Championship; Finishes Season Undefeated

Congratulations to Jack Flynn on winning the State Championship at 195 lbs at the MSHSAA State Wrestling Meet over the weekend. Jack finished his season a perfect 47-0 and became the 31st State Champion in the Howell Wrestling programs history. Jack will be furthering his educaiton and wrestling at Mizzou next season.

Girls Swim 200 Free Relay Wins State Championship

The Girls Swim 200 Free Relay of Emma Brabham, Natalie Nguyen, Madison Nguyen and Reagan Cathcart brought home a State Championship on Saturday in the MSHSAA State Swim Championships. These four Lady Vikings not only won a State Championship but they also broke the State record in the 200 Free Relay. Congratulations to Emma, Natalie, Madison, and Reagan on the State Championship and for representing Howell in such a positive way.

Girls Basketball Wins GAC South Championship For Fourth Straight Year

For the fourth straight year the girls basketball program has won the GAC South Championship. On Friday night the Lady Vikings clinched the conference championship after their 46-38 overime win over FHC. The girls basketball program moved to 17-7 on the season with the win and has a record of 13-2 since Christmas day. The girls basketball program has been a dominant force in the GAC South over the course of the past four years amassing a 36-3 record in conference play. Congratulations to Coach Muench and the girls basketball program!

For Second Straight Year All Four Howell Winter Programs Win GAC Championships

The winter has been a successful time for Howell programs the past two years. Last year the Howell became the first school in GAC history to win all conference championships in a single season. This year they matched that mark by doing it again across boys basketball, girls basketball, girls swim and wrestling. Congratulations to our coaches, staff, student-athletes and parents for their efforts to make our winter sports successful.

Boys & Girls Basketball Win GAC Championships For Fourth Straight Year

The boys and girls basketball programs have seen much success in the GAC over the course of the past four seasons. The Vikings and Lady Vikings have won conference championships in each of the past four seasons. They have not only won conference championships but they have done it in convincing fashion. The two programs are 72-7 over the course of the past four seasons in conference play. Congratulaions to our boys and girls basketball programs.

Tionne Taylor Scores 1,000th Point

Congratulations to senior Tionne Taylor on scoring her 1,000th point on Monday night. Tionne becomes the fifth player in program history to score 1,000 points in her high school career.

Football Program Well Represented At Elite Football Combine

Several members of the football program participated in the Elite Football Combine over the weekend. The combine featured some of the top football talent in the state and throughout the Midwest. Our very own Gideon Niboh finished the day tied with the best vertical jump of all participants at an amazing 39.5 inches. Drake Heismeyer also finished with one of the top vertical jumps and 40 yard dash times among all attending lineman. Congratulations to all of our football players that attended.
