Principal's Message
Happy Monday Team Bear Creek,
Fall finally feels tenable - it will be a nice change. Big shout out to all the kindergarten families for managing so much change over the course of last week.
Welcome to our newest Cub, Jamie Camalich. Jamie is a nationally board certified teacher (and a parent of two cubs) with close to ten years of experience. She has taken over Ms. Spalla's class.
We wish Ms. Spalla the best of luck as she moves to Dallas!!!
Also welcome "back" Brittany Gabriel who is another new addition to the kindergarten team. Based on numbers we were able to regain a teacher from the virtual world and we formed a new kindergarten class bringing their ratios down from 24-1 to 17-1.
Take some time and read all the news that matters.
Much Love and Light,
David

What To Do If Your Child Is Not Feeling Well
What Do If Your Child Is Not Feeling Well
If your child is ill with symptoms consistent (cough, sore throat, stomach issues, headaches, fatigue, congestion, etc ...) with Covid-19 contact Mr. Crissey and your child's teacher and then the following protocols must be followed:
Students May Return After
10 days have passed since symptoms started, and improvement in overall symptoms, and 24 hours have passed without fever and use of fever-reducing medication.
OR
Provide doctor’s note to campus health room staff stating that symptoms are not COVID-19-related and student can return to school.
OR
Provide a negative COVID-19 test. This MUST be a PCR test not a rapid test.
As an FYI the same holds true for staff members.
Lost & Found
Did your child lose a water bottle, lunchbox or jacket? Check out the attached picture of our lost and found and have your child come by the office to pick up their lost item. Lost and found will be donated at the end of each month.
Counselor's Corner
I have started conducting one on one minute meetings with each student in the school. Students love 1:1 positive attention. With minute meetings, each student can be assured, “My counselor knows me!” Students are reminded that the school counselor is a support that they can talk to. I will get to know the student's self-perception on things like school, family, friends, worries, and needs.
Thank you!
