Principal's Message
A report card is one-way teachers communicate with families and students. The following tips may be helpful to you in discussing the report card with your child:
- Remember, relinquish your attachment to the grades, they belong to your child, not you.
- Set aside time discuss the report with your child without distractions
- Ask your child what they are proud of and what they would like to improve on.
- Discuss goal setting for the next grading period, steps they could take, and how you can support. Are the goals reasonable and challenging?
- Encourage your child and tell them what you are proud of on their report card and celebrate together.
To view your child's report card:
- Log into your Family Access Account
- Click on "Open Family Access"
- Click on "Report Cards"
- You will be asked to add an Electronic Signature
If you have any questions about viewing report cards, please contact the school office at 262-560-8005. Thank you for your support!

New School Update
Progress at the new Meadow View Elementary School has been moving swiftly and the building looks amazing. The exterior brick on the gym and café area is 95% complete and roofing work is continuing. Exterior framing has begun on the grade 1-4 wing and rough plumbing and electrical work is underway on the first floor there. Rough plumbing, electrical, and duct-work has also begun on the 4K/5K wing. Exterior window installation will begin soon in this area as well. Exterior light poles have also be set in the parking lot areas and around the building.

PBIS: Community Building and Friendship
Our next PBIS focus will be Community Building and Friendship. Students will learn about what characteristics make a good friend and how they can work hard to be a friend to those around them. Students will be coming home with a Home Connection activity they can complete about what they think a good friend should be. Their ideas will be displayed on a bulletin board at school. This would be a great conversation to have at home about how they can interact with neighbors, family members, and others in their community - especially during the holiday season. Thanks for your help in encouraging your kids at home!

Changes to Art Report Card
The OASD elementary art teachers are pleased to announce a “new look” to the art section of the report cards. The past three years we have been revising instructional strategies and curriculum to improve student learning and achievement. The updated art curriculum reflects these changes by focusing on four parts of the artistic process identified in the National Core Visual Arts Standards (see report card below for descriptors): creating, presenting, responding, and connecting. Although your child, throughout the year, will be focusing on the artistic process as a whole, only one or maybe two artistic processes each tri-semester grade period will be reported on; hence the shaded areas below. Please take time to discuss with your child their achievement in art and thank you for igniting your child’s interest in art. (See below)
