Homework: September 8-12 2014
Mrs. Wells and Mrs. Reim
Math
PACE MATH:
Weekly Homework Sheet #2 and Exercise 33
REGULAR MATH:
Weekly Homework Sheet #2
Note:
The hard copy of both pages is on the webpage to be downloaded. Students may also view the worksheet and write answers on notebook paper.
Reading
Digital Diaries are NOT due this week as I am teaching students how to write a good entry in class next week. By Wednesday, students should be able to log into their google account and show you their entry. I would also suggest that you look on my webpage under the reading tab. The list of character traits can be found there. We will begin with the "A" traits. Students may look at the "A" words and begin thinking how the character in their book exhibits those traits.
Spelling
Complete Unit 1 worksheet and study the word list for Unit 1 for a spelling test on Friday.
Social Studies
They also started to research the Great Plains Region of Texas. They found out about the animals, plants, agricultural products, other products, cities, landmarks, rivers, and weather. We used all that data to begin our Texas Map Project. We are having such fun!
Science
Students are engaged in studying matter. Next week they will begin using the triple beam balance as they find the mass of some REALLY special matter. Be sure to ask them what they are measuring!
Could you help?
Mrs. Wells needs about 8 more empty paper towel tubes! We have enough wax paper, so thank you!
We also need black medium point "clickable" sharpies. These don't have caps, but click like an ink pen. We also continue to need more Sharpie BRUSHSTROKE Paint Pens (all colors). We so appreciate the ones that were sent, but with 48 students painting maps, they run out!
Mrs. Reim needs Tootsie Pops.
Thank-you so much for your help:)
