The class is so busy getting ready to show off all of their growth to you at open house on Thursday. We have a few more projects to accomplish and then we will dazzle you! Please remember that I have to book it out of there, so please come see our classroom first if you can.
Our swim lessons are right around the corner. If you have not checked out their bathing suit situations please get on that so you are not scrambling at the last minute. We start right after spring break.
We loved having Mr. Warriner come and read to us on Friday. Thank you for always being so humorous and educational at the same time! We appreciate you coming.
The kids had an amazing time with our 5th grade buddies on Wednesday. The 5th graders created problems for us to determine whether to add, subtract, multipy or divide. We played a neat game on website called Quizizz. Such a bunch of smarties!
I spent the weekend with my 8th grade girls group for a church retreat. We were asked to do a service project on Saturday afternoon. So the girls and I went to OSE and swept ALL of the woodchips that had spilled out of the playground and put them back. We also repainted the hop scotch and 4 square courts. It was so fun! I am tired, but it was a rewarding weekend.
Have a great week and see everyone on Thursday.

WHAT WE ARE LEARNING
Language Arts- We did some writing about what we would do if we were the president. I have decided I am voting for them! :) We finished up our Charlie and the Chocolate Factory character analysis project. We did a biography booklet on Dr Seuss. They will be completing their own biographies on a famous american this week.
Science-We have been learning about how the earth rotates in a 24 hour period and in 365 days. We learned about how the seasons change and the night sky changes depending on that rotation. I will try to send some little projects home over spring break so you and your family can explore the night sky.
