This week was Staff Appreciation week and we certainly felt the love from our PAC and students/families in the community. I want to take a moment to personally thank the entire Hawks View staff for their dedication, care and commitment to our students. This group shows up every day ready and willing to support students in the best way possible. They work tirelessly and give so much of their time to others. Hawks View is an amazing community to be part of and I am eternally grateful for this staff!

Hawks View staff would like to thank our fabulous families and PAC for the wonderful trip to Hawaii this week! We had wonderful refreshments, first class service, massages on the beach, lunch and more! We were very spoiled and we appreciate all the love. We couldn’t do this job without your help. Thank you!

Valentine's Day is Tuesday, February 14th, and the Nutrition Services Team is celebrating by including a packaged cookie with each school lunch. Please be advised that these cookies contain soy, wheat, and eggs (and may contain milk, peanuts, or tree nuts), and will not be included with gluten-free meals or for students flagged with a severe peanut allergy.

We are excited to share that our Hawks View PreK class is now open for registration! Our PreK is open to students who are age 4 on or before September 1, 2023. More information about our PreK program, and information about registration, can be found linked here.

In addition, we will be holding a PreK Open House on Tuesday, March 7th from 4-5 pm. All families are welcome to attend to meet our PreK staff, tour our PreK classroom, and learn more about our PreK program! Families will enter through the main building entrance. If you know of someone not receiving our Ridges newsletters that may be interested in attending, please pass along this information to them!

Dear Parent/Guardian: We will have free dental screenings by local Dentist Dr. JJ Bittner and/or Dr. Kendra Flann at Hawks View Elementary on February 17th, for children age seven or younger who have not been to a dentist. This is a screening only and no treatment will be given. You may already have turned in a form to your school to say that your child has been to a dentist, or that the screening is against your family’s beliefs -- if so, your child will not be screened. If your child is screened, results will be sent to you in backpack mail and also go into the student file. If you wish to opt-out of the screening, please contact your school office.
