Dear Parents,
This is an exciting week at Rose School. Our fifth grade students are putting the finishing touches on the Frozen Jr. performances and our parent volunteers are perfecting the set, costumes, and props. Our students and staff cannot wait to see the dress rehearsal on Thursday afternoon. It is amazing to see the talent, confidence, and collaboration of our fifth grade Stingrays!
We are in the home stretch before winter break, so there is not too much new news at Rose School. Excitement is in the air and the students are doing an awesome job each and every day engaging in meaningful learning experiences. We have many fun activities in the works as well, including a traveling performance group that will present a festive holiday show to Rose students and our winter sing-along. This is replacing the trip to Marriott Lincolnshire from years past since they are not offering a performance this year.
Please note the following school and district news below:
Students will be working towards another class incentive by earning ten golden stingrays this month. Also, there will be December Rose Bucks redemption next week for students to trade in bucks for prizes and experiences. More information will be shared next week by classroom teachers.
We are so appreciative of parent support in the lunchroom. If you have a little extra time, please consider signing up for a slot. No experience needed, just enjoyment of spending time with children :)
COVID updates- There has been one positive student COVID case reported at Rose School this week. You can also check the district COVID Dashboard for up-to-date district COVID information if you have additional questions about positive cases and quarantines.
Holiday vacations- Please let your student’s teacher and the main office know if your child will be out of town. Children who are traveling out of the country will need to follow local health department guidelines regarding quarantine rules before returning to school.
Students that miss school due to vacations will not receive work from classroom teachers in advance of the vacation and are not eligible for virtual instruction. Only children quarantined due to Covid 19 are eligible for virtual learning.

Heather Schumacher, Principal

Rose Goes Out for Pizza
Moretti’s Hoffman Estates is generously hosting Rose Goes Out today Wednesday, and Thursday (December 1 & 2). Just mention Rose School when you order and 15% of the bill will be given back to Rose PTO. This offer is good for dine-in, carry out and delivery orders. So, during this hectic time let Moretti’s do the cooking and support your school at the same time!
