We Live the Word!

Friday, January 11, 2019

Once again, I want to take a moment to recognize the AMAZING parishioners of Saints John and Paul Church!

A few weeks ago, I asked for a donation of a freezer to help us build upon our service work. Our prayer blankets have been well received and we are now in need of more material. In order to continue to fund this project, we decided to sell ice cream at lunch. Teachers and students will work together to make enough money each week to purchase the fleece for the blankets. That's where the plea for a freezer came in!

Not only was a freezer dropped off at our door, but we also received a generous donation for start-up money to purchase our first shipment of ice cream! We are so very grateful to these two anonymous parishioners for coming forward to join us in our efforts to comfort those in need through our prayer blankets! They have helped us to "wrap others in God's love!"

As always, Thank You for your support of Father John V. Doyle School!

Mrs. Jae T. Smith

Catholic Schools Week Mass on January 27, 2019

We have been busy planning for Catholic Schools Week which will be held at the end of January!

The week will begin with Mass on Sunday January 27, 2019 at 11:30am. We hope all of our school families will be able to attend and celebrate together!

We are currently seeking student volunteers to be ushers for this Mass. Ushers are needed at the doors of the Church to greet people and hand out programs. If you would like your son/daughter to participate, please send an email to Mrs. Smith. We are all set with enough students to read and to bring up the gifts at offertory.

ALL STUDENTS who attend this Mass dressed in full school uniform will receive a no-uniform day in February.

Thank you!

Do you live on a main road? or other high traffic area?

Music & Sports Update as a result of our recent Alumni Appeal!

Many thanks to all of our alumni who responded to the recent Alumni Appeal!

This appeal has been very successful and we are happy to announce that we can now move forward with plans to restore a music program for grades K-8 for 2019-2020! Music has been known to not only increase student creativity, but also improve math skills, language skills, self-esteem, as well as offering many other benefits!

This past week, we have installed cameras in the gym which can record our basketball practices and games. This will help the coaches and players to improve on their skills and strategies! Volleyball will also be able to take advantage of this technology!
